ABOUT US

Sea of Rocks, Metroskape Vintage Club is a virtual place for people to buy, sell or trade affordable jewelry with confidence and in the comfort of their own home.

We are a curator. We collect pretty pieces of jewelry with gem stones and/or precious metals and display them in stylish photographs on our online shop. Our collection includes vintage and new jewelry (new pieces will be upcoming). If you currently own a beautiful piece of jewelry, which you no longer intend to wear, it would be an excellent candidate for our collection. Our vintage collection includes “new vintage”, which are previously owned or worn pieces but not made in true old eras.

[Please sign up for Metroskape Vintage Club (MVC) to consign jewelry to us;
see How It Works.]

The pieces collected and displayed in our shop are typically not regarded as estate or high-end jewelry. Our mission is to have selections in an affordable price range so that most people visiting our shop can purchase and later, enjoy wearing the jewelry found in our collection.

Honesty is our number one policy. Once a jewelry piece is selected to be in our collection, we describe what we see in the piece as accurately as we can: both the advantages and disadvantages. We believe that it is the most effective way of communicating with the shoppers on our website. Some of you might decide not to purchase because of the descriptions, while others might not be bothered by them at all. Our role is to provide useful fact-based information to help you make decisions that have much higher chances of resulting in satisfying purchases.

[Any items in our shop can be returned; refer to Return and Refund Policy.]

Jewelry, to me, is not a statement of wealth or status. I appreciate it as I appreciate a beautiful starry night, an emerald green ocean, subtle colors of flowers or exquisite art pieces. Those breathtaking works of nature or mankind may not be basic necessities, but they enrich our lives and give us a true sense of luxury. Little pieces of nature: stones and metals, are brought to life by human hands: of the miners, stone cutters, designers/artists, jewelry makers and such. We can take these small wonders of nature everywhere with us and admire their mysterious beauty all day and night.

Jewelry has played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. All five of my aunts and an uncle on my mother’s side of the family owned jewelry or antique shops. As a child, I often visited their stores with my mom and LOVED looking at the glistening gem stones with amazing colors, which were not in my crayon box! After I grew up, I still went there often and was very fortunate that my mom let me buy jewelry once in a while. When I stopped wearing certain pieces, I asked my aunt or uncle to trade them for new jewelry.

I founded Sea of Rocks, Metroskape Vintage Club to provide a similar environment to the one I had as a young girl: a place for people to buy, sell or trade affordable jewelry easily in comfortable surroundings. Just as I casually walked into my aunt’s or uncle’s store and bought or traded jewelry pieces, it is my sincere hope that you will, virtually, stop by our shop often and have many enjoyable experiences.

Warmest wishes,

Founder

Helping Others

HELPING OTHERS

Jewelry is considered a luxury item by many people, but we believe, it can also help people. Sea of Rocks is committed to donating a percentage of our total profit to charity organizations for children’s causes, disaster relief and other causes.

We also collect fashion and inexpensive fine jewelry to gift to children in orphanages and foster homes. It is our belief that all children should be able to enjoy playing with jewelry pieces during their childhood if they would like to, and we would love to create that opportunity for them.

We much appreciate all that we have been given, and now the time has come for us to give something to society in return. Like-minded people are more than welcome to join us!

(Please note that Sea of Rocks is not a non-profit organization.)
